On September 20, 2024 at the DAR Gymnasium located the exhibition of Alexandra Uryasova «America in Details» was opened, where 13 paintings painted on canvas with acrylic markers and acrylic were presented.
This collection is inspired by the motifs of the cult book by Ilya Ilf and Yevgeny Petrov «One-storied America», offering the viewer vivid details of familiar plots.
Inspired by her travels around California, Alexandra conveys in her works the atmosphere of the cities of Santa Monica, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Dana Point, Los Angeles and the magical landscapes of Joshua Tree and Lake Laguna Niguel.
Each painting is imbued with special attention to detail: close looks at urban spaces and natural corners create a sense of immersion in moments that we often miss in the fast pace of life.
We invite you to plunge into the atmosphere of America through the prism of the author’s vision, where every detail finds its place,
creating a holistic picture of a unique and diverse world.
